I learned that in order to stand out, I can't emulate the big accounts in doing the same thing. Do this instead.
1️⃣ Your content isn’t about YOU—it’s about who you serve.
Create content to provide solutions, value and address your customer's pain points. If your post doesn’t make them feel something—curiosity, envy, excitement, or even a little discomfort—they’ll scroll right past.
2️⃣ Polarizing opinions are your secret weapon.
I'm against flashing Birkin and the rich lifestyle to distort the reality. I'm not shy to take a stand and share my brand values and point-of-view.
Say the things others are too afraid to say. Example: "Faceless or face-fronting or not, dishing income claims can't guaranteed success." See what I did there?
3️⃣ Vanity metric of followers count is just vain.
Very early stage I didn't chase for growth. I don't follow for follow to inflate my followers count. I crossed $5k under 600 followers. Now, almost $10K with mere over 1000 followers.
You have to focus on building relationships, gain reputation and social with like-minded people. That’s what matters.
You can have 500 followers and make more impact than someone with 50K if your content resonates deeply.
4️⃣ Consistency doesn’t mean posting rubbish every day.
That's just being consistently sucks. It means showing up with intentional, high-value content every time you post. I only post reels every other day.. longest no post were 28 days. 1 well-taught out reel beats 3 "meh" reels a day.
5️⃣ Your personal story is your most underused superpower.
No, I'm not talking about crying poor, your life mishaps. Nobody cares about my miseries (fact), nobody cares yours, too. Why? Because everyone has struggles of all sorts in life.
Share your failures, but move on quickly. You got to share your transformation, wins and embrace your weird quirks and vulnerabilities.
